Reading Books

Students are reading a variety of books including fiction and non-fiction. Each student is bringing home a book bag of books that should be at his/her reading level. Students are responsible for changing their own books regularly. These books should be read daily and changed at least once a week.

Slowing Down

Students are encouraged to re-read books a few times or at least slow down so that they can take in everything they are reading. This gives the student opportunity to go over words that are new to him/her and truly comprehend why the author wrote the book.
